rug delivery

Our standard UK Mainland delivery is free of charge. The majority of deliveries are within 7 working days of placing your order, although we do ask that you allow up to 14 working days.

Modern Rugs will close on Wednesday 24th December at 1pm and will re-open on Monday 5th January. No orders will be despatched during this period.

How does delivery work?...

We offer the following delivery options when placing your order:
UK Mainland (8am – 5pm) – Free of Charge
UK Mainland Before Noon - £12.95
UK Mainland Before 10.30am - £19.95
UK Mainland Saturday (before noon) - £19.95

You are given the option of delivery to an alternative address other than your billing address if this is more convenient for you (eg. your place of work, a neighbours, relatives etc). All of our rugs are delivered via a professional courier service. When your rug is ready to be despatched a delivery tracking number is e-mailed to you allowing you to track the progress of your delivery online and see what day it is due to arrive on. If you do miss the first delivery attempt our couriers will leave a card and give you the option to re-arrange delivery on a day of your choosing (Mon - Fri).

offshore uk deliveries

We deliver to most UK offshore locations at the following costs:

Northern Ireland - £14.95
Republic of Ireland - £17.95
Isle of Wight - £4.95
Isle of Man - £24.95
Isle of Scilly - £24.95
Jersey & Guernsey - £24.95 (VAT Exempt)
Shetland & Orkney - £24.95
Any Other UK Offshore Location - £24.95

international delivery

Due to high demand Modern Rugs now ships to many countries all over the world. The cost of international deliveries can vary based on the size and weight of the rug(s) you wish to purchase from us. We therefore ask that you contact us for a quote stating the name and size of the rug(s) you are interested in purchasing.

returns

We are confident that you'll love our rugs as we will not sell anything which does not meet our high quality standards. We also want you to be completley satisfied with your purchase. You can return any rug purchased from us for a full refund provided you get it back to us within 7 days of delivery. The only cost that you are responsible for is the return carriage.

Most rugs, even large sizes, can be collected from your door and returned for as little as £10 (within the UK mainland). There are many courier companies that you can use to make a return, however we recommend Interparcel: http://www.interparcel.com/quote/

Please Note: the vast majority of our online competitors will deduct their delivery costs (up to £10) from your refund if you make a return. We on the other hand do not deduct our delivery costs, we will provide you with a FULL REFUND on your purchase (unless you have paid for an offshore or upgraded delivery service).
